C4D T4D LargeScaleSmoke T7_A ( Ashes and Smoke )

New piece of R&D. Goal is to achieve a completely realistic and believable look, no matter the motion of the fluid/matter, which often renders an animation or simulation “unreal” or “cg-like” just because we know the motion is not natural. So in this case a mixture of ash and the dust/smoke coming from it is the matter, and the motion is somewhat weird…from a natural perspective at least. Even though solid ash also falls down while the broken up stuff gets finer and finer until the particles would float in the air like smoke particles or dust. imo it came out nicely…more to be tested thou. Next version maybe with some fire.

SimulationDetails:

Sim-time = about 4 hours (certainly under 5).
Caches on Disk = 108GB for 201 frames
Simulation CellSize = 5cm
The red figure in the middle = normal human proportions, 175cm high

Rendering = unknown rendertime, though Id estimate something between 24 and 30 hours. TFD crashed a lot while rendering the heavy frames so sometimes I lost a few hours because I went to sleep^^

Rendering = 1920×1080, 153 frames only, 25fps sim and 25fps playback

Other stuff:

watch in HD only ! ! ! Plus check my profile page here for workstation specs.
