When Steve came to me and said he wanted to make a parody of the Schoolhouse Rock! video “Interjections!” I was very excited. Between the two of us, we came up with all the “politically correct” terms used in the film and I set to work arranging the score.

We recorded the L-Shape Quartet in A112C and had Tiffany Meador perform the main vocal and narration. A slew of folks were brought in to both A112C and the Music School’s recording studio to add additional voices.

I wish I’d had time to do sound design on this, too, but such is life. Everything was done on a Pro Tools III system (4-channels, no TDM) with only the original five Waves plug-ins in Sound Designer II.

We licensed the short to the Spike & Mike Festival of Animation for 5 years and it premiered at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco alongside Nick Park’s latest film at that time, “A Close Shave”.
